Why should fiscally responsible, hard working people pay for the mortgages of others who are living beyond their means? Our generation cannot deny the consequences of our actions, even though we may like to. To every risk there is a reward and we must be responsible for whatever that outcome may be, good or bad. This applies to every area of our lives -- financially, socially, personally, etc.
Tonight I read Glenn Beck's article, "Media ignores Alaska's fiscal success during economic crisis," and was frustrated that traditional news sources have not given Alaska's fiscal policies the praise they deserve.
California Budget ($30 Billion Deficit) vs. Alaska Budget ($6.6 Billion in Reserve)
"When oil prices were high and the state was bringing in a ton of cash, the State of Alaska didn't spend all the money on new unsustainable programs. They didn't, you know, try to give everybody on the planet free healthcare. They didn't search everywhere for places to dump money while claiming, you know, they were the wealthiest country on Earth, they are the wealthiest state in the land, this will go on forever. They didn't do it. What they did is they saved."
Government officials continue to prepare new US passports with embedded RFID technology despite the risk that the passports can be cloned and propose other security/identity threats.
Think "green" is a good thing? Look a little closer. At the heart of environmental protectionism may lie sinister, immoral agendas.
